Please use the booking links at the bottom of this page to reserve your visit. If you need to cancel or reschedule, you can do so using the link in your confirmation email.
Your booking slot is for one hours but if you havent finished picking please don't feel you have to rush off.
This is a charity event. There is no charge for picking, but we ask all visitors to support one of our chosen charities after their visit by scanning the QR code on site or by using the donation links on this page.

⚠️ BEES ARE PRESENT ON SITE. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU HAVE A BEE STING ALLERGY.
⚠️ UNEVEN GROUND. Please take care when walking around the site. There are rabbit holes in some areas around the bushes, which may create trip hazards. Children should be supervised at all times.
Visitors enter and pick at their own risk. By entering the site, visitors accept that farming environments contain natural hazards and agree to take reasonable care for their own safety and that of any children in their care.

Park at the bottom of the site and enter through the double gates.
The honeyberries (ripe in June) grow on smaller shrubs. The Saskatoons (ripe in July) grow on larger plants that look more like small trees or a hedge.

Please bring your own containers. For sustainability reasons, we do not provide punnets.
The honeyberries now have a good second flush and the saskatoons have started ripening - the second plot (ruther from the A96 has the best saskatoons)
The site is unmanned. Feel free to explore the picking areas and harvest what you find.
These are unusual fruits and are packed with health benefits. If you're looking for ideas, a quick online search will give you plenty of inspiration for eating, baking, preserving, and more.

As this is a natural crop, fruit availability can vary. While we expect plenty of fruit throughout the season, we cannot guarantee the amount available, particularly if demand is high and your booking is later in the week.

There is no charge for picking at Muir Fruit Farm. Instead, we ask visitors to support one of our chosen charities by making a donation after their visit.
The fruit you have picked is a premium crop that is rarely available in the UK. Similar specialist berries often sell for several pounds per punnet, and many visitors take home the equivalent of multiple punnets.
Our fruit is grown with great care on our family farm. While we are not certified organic, we do not use pesticides, herbicides or fungicides on the crop.
If you have enjoyed your visit, please consider making a donation that reflects the value of the fruit you have taken home and helps support the important work of International Justice Mission and Lighthouse Aberdeen.
Suggested donations:
Small container: £5
Medium container: £10
Large container or family picking: £15–£20+
Of course, any donation is greatly appreciated.
If a donation would cause financial difficulty, please simply enjoy the fruit as a gift from our family farm. We want everyone to be able to enjoy these wonderful fruits, regardless of their circumstances.
